Finn - About me

“I have no special talent, I am only passionately curious.” - Albert Einstein

This is one of my all time favourite quotes. This is what I live by, I don’t believe that I am someone with natural intelligence, but rather someone who finds the universe infinitely interesting.

I’m 18 years old and am in my first year of University and am thoroughly enjoying it. Throughout high school my love for writing and all things science bloomed. The energy and the passion with which people speak of science enthralls me: I love how it inspires. Such a fascinating topic surely draws some of the brightest and most diligent minds of the 21st Century and I feel proud to be able to partake in such a revolution of information. From documentaries with Sir David Attenborough, Brian Greene, and Stephen Hawking, to TED Talks, shows on NOVA, and the multitude of books available to the public, its draw is relentless, and the promise of answers and of more questions to come is endlessly enticing.

My journey in life is to be a part of this, whether that includes being a high-level-thinker; imagining the intricacies of the universe or a passionate observer documenting the revolution as we see it. I hope this blog will help in continuing my journey in knowledge and in life, I hope to meet many people whose curiosity and passion will fuel my own. Most of all, I hope that I can inspire some to join in the frenzy of discovery of our modern world, to spark their want for knowledge and answers.

I love questions, especially when I don’t know the answer. I love it when people ask something of me which requires me to do some wider reading, ask my seniors, and to use my brain to the highest of its capabilities.
